Fyers Web – Watchlists

We are happy to introduce one of the most awaited updates on Fyers Web – Multiple Watchlists. Now, you can not only create multiple customized Watchlists but also load the extensive list of pre-defined watchlists on various indices such NIFTY 50, NIFTY Bank etc. Additionally, we have integrated some other useful features that would make your trading experience even much smoother on Fyers Web. In this article, we’ll look at the salient features of the all-new updated watchlists on Fyers Web.

1. No Limit on Creating Watchlists:

With this new update, you can now create as many Watchlists as you want. There is absolutely no limit on the number of watchlists you create. In case you are new to the platform and wish to know how to create a watchlist, then login to Fyers Web and refer the image below:

An important thing to note here is, after creating a customized Watchlist all the changes such as adding or removing a scrip get autosaved on the platform.

2. Ready-made Watchlists on Indices:

We have introduced all the important predefined watchlists on various NSE indices such as Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Nifty FMCG etc. This would help you save your time by adding individual index stocks to the Watchlist. There are over 18 predefined indices watchlists embedded into the watchlist section. Have a look at the image below:

3. Dedicated Watchlists for Options Trading:

For an active Options trader, it becomes crucial to track Call/Put Option contracts which are close to the previous day’s closing price of BankNifty/Nifty index. Searching such contracts on the “Option Chain” is still a hassle. Traders would love to get a quick access to such data. Keeping this thing in mind, we have come up with an excellent feature that makes you access the Call/Put Option contracts which are close to the previous day’s closing price of BankNifty/Nifty index with a click of a mouse. You can refer the image below:

The important thing to note here is, the contracts displayed in these Watchlists are based on the previous day’s closing price of the Index. Thus, effectively contracts are provided 10 strike prices above and 10 strike prices below the previous day’s closing price for both the Call & Put types. This can be explained with a help of an example. In the images shown below, you will understand that how exactly the contracts are shown in the pre-defined watchlists.

4. Customize-able View:

The new update on Watchlist lets you customize the Watchlist data according to your requirement. You can sort the Symbol Name (alphabetically) and the Last traded price & Value change (ascending/descending) on the watchlists panel. This feature indeed makes your work more convenient when you want to fetch a specific data instantly. You may refer the image below:

The advantages of having data sorting are as follows:

a. You can get the highest positively moving scrips on the watchlists and vice versa.
b. You can sort the highest priced scrips on the watchlists and vice versa.
c. Alphabetical sorting helps search a specific scrip in an Index instantly.

To conclude, we look forward to your valuable feedback on this update and expect that it will help you immensely to analyze and fetch the data much faster. Based on the requirements, we intend to introduce more watchlists features in the near future.
