Api bridge for scalping
Asked a question 3 years ago

Guys, for scalping using API bridge what are the best entry and exit types. Currently, I am using a stop limit for entry and market for the exit. Is it feasible? Considering slipping and delays what are the best entry type and exit types? My set up is API Bridge with TradingView intraday scalping.

Selecting order type depends on your strategy. Good thing is that Fyers APIBridge supports all order type and product type. You can have a look at this image as well for help.

Depends on what type of Trader you are. A breakout/Aggressive trader generally use SL M/Market orders. Conservative Traders prefer limit orders. I guess it has more to do with the type of setup you want to trade. I am a breakout trader and mostly use SLM orders.

For a scalper limit entry orders are better as it will save slippages. But in that cases one might miss the trade itself.

just my two cents,
