What is the difference between Trading & Demat A/c?

Hi Jayesh,

There is a very thin line between Trading and Demat Account

The main function of the Demat account is to hold securities like shares in an electronic format whereas a trading account is used to buy and sell shares in the stock market.

Demat account allows investors to store financial instruments in a dematerialized or electronic form which are debited and credited accordingly. You need to have both Demat as well as trading account to trade in the stock market.
