When SL-M buy and sell orders are placed simultaneously in the same stock, why double margin is getting blocked until one of them is executed? These two orders play an important role as SL for each other, hence the margin blocked should be only for one order.

Hi Govind,

When you place both the SL-M orders simultaneously, double margin is blocked because both the orders will be considered as separate orders until one of them is executed and the margin blocked is as per the exchange. As soon as one of them is executed automatically the other order becomes the counter order (Stop loss) for the same and the additional margin blocked, will be released.
